Blue Mesa Digital Stereocompilation
Stereocompilation
Blue Mesa’s digital stereocompilation is preformed using softcopy Leica LPS and BAE Socket Set Microstation-based mapping systems. Stereocompilation allows for 3-D viewing of the photographic model and map graphics simultaneously. A feature table is built for each project based on specifications provided by the client. This table includes feature name and description, line type and style as well as color. Compilation procedures are designed to support the intended GIS/CAD application. Breaklines and spot elevations are collected in support of the (DEM) digital elevation models and (DTM) Digital terrain model creation. Where DTM data and planimetric features are both compiled, the planimetry which coincides with the DTM breaklines (road edges, curb lines and hydrograph) are copied into the breakline data or coded as a duel function feature. Softcopy workstations with superimposed vector data provide an efficient means to update existing data files. Blue Mesa can provide planimetric and DTM feature collection, cross sections and volumetric survey as well as update and corridor mapping services.
